Orbs are the most common anomaly in the paranormal field and the most common that could be mistaken as normal objects. They can imitate rain and snow droplets, dust, and light infractions. These are a few of the things that make an orb a challenge to distinguish in our line of work. A trained eye can see the difference. What is an orb you may ask? Well the definition of an orb is a ball of light or spirit energy, and are usually round in shape. But as time moves on there may be other kind of orbs as well some may be a diamond shape (We are still working on these types). Some of the theories that I have came up in doing research and field testing of this wonderful anomaly and I will try to enlighten you on this as I work through my thoughts.

The most common shape of the orb is round but when we take it to the next step and looked at different pictures we came up with some outstanding findings. Some of the orbs that we have looked at and studied it seems that they have a cell like membrane to them it almost looks like an inner cell to them. This could contribute to an intelligent manner in their movement and we have also asked the orbs to come closer to the video camera and sometimes they get brighter or move lazy to the camera as a response to our voices. As I have mentioned before the orb looks like it has an inner cell structure to it and then may help us understand there movements and colors (we will talk about colors in a moment). We are also seeing different shapes with different cameras. More and more people have digital cameras and the orbs are showing as various shapes (i.e. football shaped, shield, oval, round, disk, concave, diamond, etc.). I also think an orb is the beginning of the manifestation of the spirit. An orb uses energy to manifest itself and I feel they use the energy to move as well. If you look at the pictures of this anomaly you will see usually over 90% of the pictures are either by a water source, trees, power lines, etc. This tends to make me think and understand that the orb is drawing the energy to charge itself. Ahh this is way are batteries and other electronics seems to be drained and sometimes zapped. As the anomaly energizes itself it disperses the energy to move, this is why we get what we call super charged orbs. A super charged orb is in such a high state of movement that the energy is dispersed and this is where we can get the comet-like tail on the pictures or a single line of energy of the orb. Also the orb can disperse this energy around into an ecto mist thus forms the ecto like apparitions of a spirit. If you look closely at some of the pictures of ecto you will see that the orbs are placed in a manner that the energy is let out to form this ecto figure.
